About Anel Lee, LCSW

I am the founder of Anel Lee & Associates and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and childhood abuse.

Also, a doctoral candidate in Community Care and Counseling at Liberty University, a certified Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Advocate, and a published author.

But before any of that, I was a person who needed help and was too afraid to ask for it.

Therapy Wasn’t Part of the Plan

Growing up as a second-generation Mexican American, I learned early that you push through.

You don’t complain. You definitely don’t go to therapy.

It took my own pain and my own turning point before I was willing to try something different.

That decision changed my life and ultimately led me to this work.

I know what it feels like to sit across from someone and wonder if they really get it.

That’s why I show up the way I do, not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone who has done the hard work and knows it’s worth it.

Therapy is for People Carrying A Lot

I work with adults who are carrying a lot: survivors of trauma, domestic violence, and the kind of pain that doesn’t always have a name.

My clients are strong people who are tired of just surviving.

They want more, and they deserve real support in getting there.

I provide services in English and Spanish and understand the cultural layers that can make asking for help feel complicated, especially in Latino and Black communities.

What It’s Like to Work with Me

When you work with me, you won’t get a therapist who just nods and takes notes.

You’ll get someone who is honest with you, walks alongside you, and genuinely believes in your ability to change, even on the days you don’t.

I bring over six years of clinical experience across schools, nonprofits, community organizations, and correctional settings.

My MSW comes from Walden University. Doctoral candidate in Community Care and Counseling at Liberty University.

My therapeutic focus includes trauma-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Life Outside the Office

Outside of the office, I’m a mother of four, a passionate foodie, and a traveler who believes that seeing the world changes how you see yourself.

Family is everything to me, and that love for people shows up in every session.

I built Anel Lee & Associates because I wanted a practice that doesn’t just treat symptoms.

The goal was a place where people could come as they are, do the real work, and leave different.

Ready When You Are

If any of this sounds familiar, I’d love to hear from you. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan to take the first step. That part is my job. Schedule a consultation today, and we’ll figure out the rest together.
