About Therapy

Trauma therapy helps you understand and work through the impact of past traumatic experiences on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We use evidence-based approaches including trauma-focused therapy, CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients heal at the root level, not just manage symptoms.

Our therapists draw from trauma-focused therapy, CBT, EMDR, DBT skills, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. We tailor the approach to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.

Sessions are collaborative, not scripted. We start where you are, explore what is getting in your way, and work toward understanding the patterns underneath. Some sessions are heavy; some bring real breakthroughs.

Sometimes. Growth does not only happen in the therapy room. Depending on where you are in the process, your therapist will offer reflections, practices, or tools to try between sessions — nothing overwhelming, just things that help the work stick.

If you feel like you are caught in the same loop, overwhelmed, or repeating the same patterns no matter what you try, therapy is worth exploring. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit.

It depends on your goals, your history, and the pace that feels right for you. Some clients see meaningful shifts in a few months; others choose to continue longer for deeper work.

Show up, be honest even when it is uncomfortable, and do the work between sessions. The more willing you are to engage, the faster things shift.

That is one of the most common things we hear. Bad therapy experiences are real, and the right fit matters more than most people realize. Give us a shot.

That is exactly why we offer a free 20-minute consultation. Come talk to us, ask your questions, and see how it feels.

Getting to Know Us

You can ask, but whether we answer depends on whether it serves the work. We are real people, not blank walls, and we are not afraid of a little human connection.

Calendar and Pandora. Anel runs on a tight schedule and a good playlist – if it is not on the calendar, it is not happening, and if the music is not right, neither is the mood.

Cats — independent, unbothered, and they do not need you to validate them. Honestly, pretty good therapy goals.

Absolutely not. Cross your legs, curl up, sit straight – we are not Freud.

We will never tell you what to wear. But tears are welcome here, so if you want to plan ahead, we will not judge you for it.

We have a comfy, cozy couch that is basically the opposite of a cold leather chair in a sterile office. Come see for yourself.

Only the soft kind. You are going through enough.

You do not have to do anything. We keep tissues handy just in case.

Absolutely. Healing does not have to be heavy all the time, and humor can be part of the work too.

Not a chance. We are not here to evaluate you – we are here to understand you, and whatever you bring into the room, we can handle it.
